Abstract
Eight mutants with less than 25% of the wild-type level of beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase activity have been isolated from Escherichia coli K-12. Studies on these mutants suggest that less than 1% of the wild-type level of this enzyme may be adequate for the normal growth and division of E. coli cells. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
