Abstract
Inconel alloy 718 is a relatively new high-strength, weldable alloy that is suitable for service at temperatures from −423 F up to 1300 F. The excellent properties of this alloy over this temperature range result from extensive research on the influences of various elements and heat treatments. This paper describes the metallurgical investigation relating the nature of the alloy to the development of optimum properties. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
