Abstract
Histamine may have a direct stimulatory effect on both cortisol and corticosterone secretions of the adrenal gland, although the possibility that the adrenocortical secretory response to histamine in hypophysectomized dogs may be mediated through an extra-pituitary factor cannot be excluded.
