Abstract
The effect of dissolved oxygen on the kinetics of the reaction of 4-substituted phenols with nitrous acid provides evidence for a proposed mechanism in which nitric oxide and the phenoxy radical are generated and the latter reacts with nitrogen dioxide.Keywords
