Abstract
Perylene bisimide dyes and their organization into supramolecular architectures through hydrogen-bonding, metal ion coordination and π–π-stacking is discussed; further self-assembly leading to nano- and meso-scopic structures and liquid-crystalline compounds is also addressed. Keywords
