Abstract
Mössbauer effect experiments have been done on in the presence of magnetic fields up to 53 kOe and in temperatures ranging from 4.2 to 348°K. The data have been interpreted in terms of spin Hamiltonian parameters with an effective spin S=1. These parameters in turn have led to a determination of the ligand field which acts on the t2g4 configuration as well as the spin‐orbit coupling.
