Abstract
This article describes a day spent in a learning Disabilities Resource Room with children in first through sixth grades. As their teacher, I used a personal microcomputer and no commercial software. The computer offers many advantages and rewards for children with learning disabilities. When employed in combination with more traditional teaching techniques, it will serve as a source of rewards for and reinforcement of paper and pencil tasks, provide increased motivation, and allow the children to develop competency with computers. A whole world of new possibilities for work with LD children is being revealed with the advent of computers.
