Abstract
We have prepared the cation radical salts based on a nonplanar donor 4,11-bis(4′,5′-ethylenedithio-1′,3′-dithiole-2′-ylidene)-4,11-dihydroanthra[2,3-c] [1,2,5] thiadiazole (BEDT-ATD), (BEDT-ATD)2X(Solvent) (X˭PF6, BF4; Solvent=THF, DHF (2,5-dihydrofuran)). The band structure of a stable organic metal (BEDT-ATD)2PF6(THF) is presented. The replacement of an anion or a solvent molecule has induced a metal-insulator transition at 200 K and 150 K for (BEDT-ATD)2BF4(THF) and (BEDT-ATD)2PF6(DHF), respectively. Keywords
