Abstract
A low-noise integrated 1 GHz quadrature sinusoidal oscillator that uses lossy planar inductors is presented. The oscillation frequency is digitally-controlled over a 200 MHz range centered at 1.1 GHz, and the measured phase noise at a 100 kHz offset from a 1 GHz carrier is -87 dBc/Hz. Power consumption, including that of the 50 /spl Omega/ drivers, is nominally 165 mW from a 5 V supply. Keywords
