Abstract
The efficacy of the Heineke-Mikulicz as opposed to the Finney type of pyloroplasty in respect to gastric emptying, both before and after vagotomy, was studied in 20 dogs. The emptying times were measured by following both barium-water and barium-food meals by x-ray film for four to seven hours. By both methods of study neither type of pyloroplasty was superior. Keywords
