Abstract
Realization of the potential of computer electronics for enhanced human productivity and economic impact depends strongly on the university. New manpower and continuing education for the existing work force as well as new ideas for research and development will come from that sector. University-industry coupling offers mutual advantages to the partners and benefits to the nation in the computer age. Keywords
