Abstract
Studies were made on the chromosome complements of Metasequoia glyptostroboides and Taxodium distichum (Taxodiaceae) Karyotype analyses indicated marker chromosome pairs with unusual structures in both species Metasequoia has three pairs of chromosomes with long kinetochore regions. No satellited chromosomes were detected in the chromosome complement of Metasequoia. Taxodium distichum has one chromosome pair with a long kinetochore region, thought to be negatively heteropycnotic, and a satellited chromosome pairThis publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
