Abstract
Rhamnose, arabinose and xylose were excreted readily when injected intravenously in man. The relative rates of absorption for the 3 sugars were the same in men and rats. If the rate of absorption of rhamnose is rated as unity, that of arabinose is 2.33 and that of xylose 3.6. The sugars were absorbed in the upper part of the intestine. In man these sugars were absorbed rapidly during the 1st hr.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
