Two-photon processes and production of charmed-quark-antiquark bound states

Abstract

We investigate the possibility of observing even-charge-conjugation states of charmonium in the reaction

e^{+} + e^{-} \to e^{+} + e^{-} + X

. The cross sections for paracharmonium I and II are explicitly calculated to be

10^{- 33}

{cm}^{2}

to

10^{- 35}

{cm}^{2}

and depend on specific models. Cross sections for production of a pair of charmed bosons are also evaluated.
