Abstract
A new, rapid and simple spectrophotometric method for the determination of vanadium with gallein and sodium laurylsulfate was proposed. The method was highly sensitive with Sandell's sensitivity of 0.0031μg/cm2 of vanadium for an absorbance of 0.001 at a wavelength of 535 nm against a reagent blank, and molar absorptivity was 1.64×104. The effect of interfering ions was studied. Keywords
