Abstract
In his editorial on pancreas transplantation in diabetic patients (July 13 issue),1 Dr. Tattersall commented on the proposed criteria developed at the University of Michigan to evaluate candidates for pancreas transplantation who do not have end-stage diabetic nephropathy.2 He took issue with the use of autonomic neuropathy and "brittle diabetes" as indications for pancreas transplantation. Keywords
