Abstract
A possible additional source of photovoltage in solar cells made on photoconductive materials is identified. Arising from suitable compositional or doping variations of the material, this excess voltage could significantly enhance the open‐circuit voltage of solar cells fabricated on amorphous Si : H, related alloys, and other materials that exhibit pronounced photoconductivity. Keywords
