Abstract
This review discusses recent advances in the use of infrared spectroscopy in electrochemistry. The central focus is on analytical factors that affect the ability to derive structural information from infrared spectra of molecular adlayers. The effects of vibrational coupling and dielectric screening are emphasized. Applications of real-time polarization modulation and step-scan Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy are also presented. Keywords
