Endoscopy of the Pancreatic Duct

Abstract
In a 33-year-old female patient presenting with chronic pancreatitis which had led to a massive dilatation of the pancreatic duct system and a pseudocyst in the head of the pancreas, multiple stenoses and calibre fluctuations, a cholangioscope was introduced into the pancreatic duct and the cyst during surgery. The optical conditions were good, the diameter of the instrument prevented its passage past the strictures. This report indicates the technical possibilities of surgical endoscopy of the pancreatic duct. Bei einer 33jährigen Patientin mit chronischer Pankreatitis, welche zu einer massiven Dilatation des Pankreasgangsystems mit einer Pseudozyste im Kopf, multiplen Strikturen und Kaliberschwankungen geführt hatte, wurde peroperativ ein Cholangioskop zur Endoskopie des Pankreasgangs und einer Zyste eingesetzt. Die optischen Möglichkeiten waren gut, der Durchmesser des Instruments verhinderte die Passage der vorhandenen Strikturen. Diese Kasuistik soll die technische Möglichkeit der intraoperativen Endoskopie des Pankreasgangs aufzeigen.
