Ehlers‐Danlos syndrome associated with multiple intracranial aneurysms

Abstract
A case of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome in association with multiple intracranial aneurysms is presented. In this case, the adventitial layer of the intracranial vessels was found to be scanty and loosely organized. It is suggested that the aneurysms can, at least in part, be attributed to the generalized mesodermal abnormality in this condition-namely, a defective collagenous support surrounding the blood vessels. Such a defect would enhance the formation of aneurysms at points where medial defects and pressure factors predispose the vessel to dilation.
