Abstract
A clinical study in differential diagnosis of the symptom of intermittent limping was made. Not only arterial disease but many orthopedic and neurological diseases have intermittent limping as their chief complaint. Amongst these were posterolateral degeneration, diseases of the hypothalamus, syringomyelia, peripheral nerve injury, tetany, short calf muscles and static imbalance of the foot. Simple clinical methods of examination and the use of the oscillometer aid in making the correct diagnosis. Keywords
