Abstract
The acanthocephalan parasite, Polymorphus minutus, has been found to excrete radioactive lactic and succinic acid, and a small amount of radioactive, volatile material when incubated with [U-14C]-glucose under conditions designed to simulate those in vivo. The acids were identified by paper and gas chromatography, and the identity of succinic acid was confirmed with an enzyme preparation. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
