Absence of Thoracic Osteophytosis in the Area Adjacent to the Aorta: Computed Tomography Demonstration

Abstract
Computed tomography of the chest [human] shows that right-sided unilateral thoracic osteophytosis is a common phenomenon. The cross-sectional images obtained appear to support the thesis that aortic pulsations have a preventive effect on the formation of left-sided osteophytes.
