Abstract
Taylor et al. (1977) have recently computed resonance states of HCl- by the stabilisation method and interpreted observed e--HCl scattering phenomena in terms of these states. Their results are shown to be compatible with an alternative interpretation, suggesting that a virtual state occurs at each vibrational excitation threshold. Keywords
