Abstract
Rats infected with Nippostrongylus muris were found to have a greater resistance to subsequent infection with Trichinella spiralis than did rats that had not been so infected. Agar-diffusion tests showed no reaction between serum from rats infected with N. muris and antigen prepared by saline extraction of delipidated T. spiralis larvae. Some possible explanations for this protective effect are discussed. Keywords
