Abstract
Methods are descr. for the isolation and purification, without undue degradation, of the capsular substance of B. anthracis. It is made up of d-( [long dash])-glutamic acid residues, with a mol. wt. 50,000. The molecule is made up of a-peptide chains of > 50-100 d-glutamic acid residues joined together by [gamma]-peptide chains of d-glutamic acid residues.Keywords
