Abstract
The collective resonance frequencies in singly charged, positive cluster ions are calculated analytically. The frequencies are determined by the density distribution of the valence electrons; we employ the density given by the recently developed statistical Thomas-Fermi approach. Excellent agreement with experimental data is found. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
