Abstract
Many gastrostomy tube complications can be diagnosed with readily available radiologic technics. A review of four cases seen at one institution over a period of 3 1/2 years demonstrates the role of this approach in establishing the presence of intraperitoneal leakage, tube migration, and catheter-induced intussusception. It is suggested that a more frequent use of radiology with or without oral contrast agents may allow earlier diagnosis, more expeditious therapy, and decreased morbidity from tube gastrostomy complications. Keywords
