Abstract
Endrin, a chlorinated hydrocarbon insecticide, produces hyperexcitability of the human central nervous system. Acute endrin poisoning from bread made with contami- nated flour resulted in sudden convulsions in three people. Recoveries were spontaneous, and symptoms were mini- mal. The endrin content was determined for the contami- nated bread, the contaminated flour, and the specimens from four persons who had eaten the bread. Keywords
