Abstract
The tonic and trophic innervation of the diaphragm in monkeys, dogs or rabbits, examined by various means, such as x-ray, chemical, bioelectrical and histologic methods, was found to be of dual nature, i.e., cerebro-spinal and autonomic. These 2 systems of innervation are adapted to compensate each other, and the creatin metabolism of the muscle is mainly related to the sympathetic innervation. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
