Abstract
The three elementary transport coefficients and the isotopic thermal separation ratio have been evaluated over an extensive range of temperatures by utilizing the expressions derived on the approximation procedure due to Kihara, for the Lennard-Jones 12:6 model. These values have been compared with the corresponding and a still higher order approximation values calculated on an alternative approximation scheme of Chapman and Cowling. The comparison of the results obtained on the two schemes of approximation indicates that the simple expressions of Kihara are more accurate and preferable even to the corresponding higher approximation expressions of Chapman and Cowling. Keywords
