Abstract
The Compton profile of the ground state of molecular hydrogen is calculated using the Liu 39-configuration-interaction (CI) wave function to confirm the experimental results of Eisenberger. This is in contrast to previous theoretical results obtained with the Hartree-Fock and Das-Wahl CI wave functions. The merits of these wave functions and also the best-over-lap wave function are discussed. Keywords
