Abstract
In this paper a model for small area migration forecasts is presented. It consists of two phases. In the first phase, movers and stayers are generated from the total population, according to move probabilities which depend on a number of characteristics of the population. A logit regression has been carried out to establish the influence of these characteristics on the move probabilities. The second phase of the model deals with the redistribution of the movers. In the last section of the paper some computational results will be given based on data for the City of Rotterdam. Keywords
