Abstract
In male albino rats an increased protein intake in the form of egg albumin or blood albumin has a greater influence upon renal weight than protein in the form of casein. Gelatin produces a much larger increase in renal weight than any other protein source which has been fed. There is evidence that this may be of a pathological rather than a physiological nature.Keywords
