Abstract
Evidence suggests that the brown protein isolated from anaerobically NO3-grown M. denitrificans is a cytochrome pigment containing both haem c and ad (a2) - like haem. It is possible that the brown protein might function as a nitrite reductase since a nitrite derivative was demonstrated spectrophotometrically. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
