Abstract
The risk of developing obesity, insulin resistance and non insulin - dependent diabetes is influenced by the amount and type of fat in the diet. The choice between more monounsaturated fat and more carbohydrate-rich foods in the diabetic diet depends on the status and need of the patient.Keywords
