Abstract
A reduced state relationship for limiting electrical conductances of aqueous ions to high temperatures and pressures is presented in which ionic conductance is a simple function of solvent density. Walden’s rule is not observed. Specific parameters for 13 ions are included that can be used to calculate ionic conductances by the relationship. From these values, limiting equivalent conductances of many single and mixed aqueous electrolyte systems may be obtained over temperature–pressure ranges of 0–800 °C and up to 400 MPa (4000 bar), with reasonable estimates to 1000 °C and 1000 MPa.Keywords
