Abstract
The elastic free energy of uniaxial anisotropic superconductors is evaluated in the domain BBc2, for arbitrarily oriented fields B with respect to the c crystal axis and in the continuum limit. A contribution to the elastic matrix is found, in addition to those previously found by other authors. From this quantity we derive the elastic moduli of the flux-line lattice. In addition to the usual tilting and bulk moduli more nonlocal elastic moduli enter into the elastic free energy. The contribution referred to above does not affect the tilting moduli found by Sudbo? and Brandt for the particular geometries B∥ and ⊥c.
