Abstract
Two pedigrees of the congenital radially curved little finger are presented to trace the mode of inheritance of this trait, and to identify the nature of the gene involved for such an expression. The study has revealed that the inheritance of this factor appears to be dependent on a single apparently dominant and autosomal gene. The trait is transmitted directly without skipping a generation from persons heterozygous for this abnormal gene. The phenotypic expression of this trait may sometimes vary slightly in the degree of curvature. Association of this trait with the curved forefinger has also been noticed. Keywords
