Abstract
With the purpose of providing a control material for the evaluation of the intermamillary distance in patients with Turner’s syndrome or related syndromes, an anthropometric in dex (intermamillary index) is described and computed for children without malformations and without any other disturbances of their development caused by chromosomal aberrations. The index amounts to 23.412 ± 1.878 in female patients (n = 200) and 23.090 ± 4.140 in male patients (n = 190). Both groups show a deviation of the theoretically expected Gauss’s curve to the right. There is no indication of significant differences of the intermamillary index between sexes or between age groups. Keywords
