Abstract
The ignition methods of Legg and Black and of Saunders and Williams were compared with the Mehta et al. extraction technique. The last was more efficient in detecting added organic P, gave the highest amounts of organic P detected, and is recommended for soils from wet tropics. Organic P, organic P as 96 of total P, the C/P and N/P ratios, all decreased with depth. Low P soils had high C/P and N/P ratios. Organic P varied between 57 and 836 ppm, the C/P ratio between 10 and 377 (average 83) and the N/P ratio between 1. 7 and 32 (average 7. 2).Authors.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
