Abstract
A study of the xanthine oxidase factor from liver indicated that if the unidentified factor existed it was not extractable by methanol or ether but was retained in the liver residue. Whole untreated liver gave a more significant response than any fraction or residue or combination tested. Dextrin gave as good a response as whole liver. Keywords
