Abstract
Experiments were performed in vivo in a mouse model of acute toxoplasmosis to evaluate the effectiveness of the combination azithromycin/sulfadiazine. Azithromycin alone or sulfadiazine alone, at doses that did not provide any protection against death due to toxoplasmosis, were remarkably and significantly synergistic against murine toxoplasmosis when administered in combination. Keywords
