Abstract
The use of a vitreous carbon electrode in the electrochemical reduction of 2-ethylanthraquinone is described. The results for single linear voltage sweeps have shown a coefficient of variation in the peak current of less than 2 per cent. The alcohol used is found to have a considerable effect on the size of the peak current. The variation in peak current with 2-ethylanthraquinone concentration is linear, and the wave is, therefore, suitable for analytical use. Keywords
