Abstract
Cholesteryl oleyl carbonagte decomposes spontaneously, above its melting point, to liberate CO2 independently of the atmosphere. In the presence of O2 CO is evolved in appreciable quantities due to oxidative attack which probably occurs at the olefinic bonds.Keywords
