Abstract
Current knowledge concerning the anemias associated with myxedema is reviewed, with special reference to the pernicious anemia-like blood pictures occasionally seen in these patients. The clinical and hematological features of a patient observed over a 25-yr. period are described. This patient exhibited at various times the features of Fe deficiency anemia, the simple macrocytic anemia of myxedema and finally a classical pernicious anemia. Keywords
