Abstract
Decision matrices offer a useful way of displaying the effects of alternative plans for an area of forest, or other land. When combined with the weighting summation method of valuation, analysts and decision-makers can compare alternative plans more objectively than with many other techniques. The method is explained with the use of a hypothetical example. North. J. Appl. For. 7:77-79, June 1990.
