Abstract
The possible secretion of creatinine by kidney tubule cells of Necturus was reinvestigated by determining the concns. of creatinine and inulin in identical samples of serum, tubule fluid and urine. A new ultramicro modification of the inulin method was developed for this purpose. A neoprene cast method was introduced for identifying the point of fluid collection. No secretion of creatinine by kidney tubule cells of Necturus could be disclosed by this method. Keywords
