Abstract
An eight-channel × 2 nm monolithic polarisation-independent WDM detector integrating a compact birefringence-free InP/InGaAsP arrayed waveguide demultiplexer and a pin waveguide-detector array is reported for the 1.55 µm fibre band. TE and TM responses displayed <0.1 nm dispersion and <0.2 dB difference in responsivity. Absolute channel placement was accurate to <0.1 nm.Keywords
