Abstract
Direct measurement indicates that hydroxyproline increases in irradiated skin and subcutaneous tissue. Under the influence of the thyroid analog L-triiodothyronine, this accumulation is reversed. The nonirradiated tissues which normally increased in hydroxyproline content with age also show decrease in this constituent. Keywords
